My display can handle 2715 x 1527 so I set that on my monitor, but YouTube only gives me the 1080p option. I do not get the 1440p option.

Which browser are you using ?

Also what connection do you have ?

I can play 1440p videos with no problem. There is a test video on YouTube and I tried it and it played beautifully.

Also, on that video I do get the 1440p option.

That option does not appear on this video.

I'm not sure which options Gopher is looking at for his render ring, but perhaps a Ryzen system with the 980 would be a good one, 8-cores-16 threads make rendering a lot quicker, or possibly look at the last gen intel offerings. x99 and a 5960x would be pretty stunning for editing and rendering even at 4k.

Odd, could be caching though it does appear for me, in chrome firefox and even edge.

Curiously, on Firefox I get the 1440p option.

I still do not get it in Edge.

Not sure what is going on there. I watched it on Firefox and it was much better quality. But I could not see any improvement when Gopher switched between 1080p and 1440p.
