Hello fellow minions, and potentially Gopher, i am a big fan of the channel and of Gopher's lifesaving modding tutorials, but i seem to have run into a problem that i cant find a satisfactory answer to. You see, a short while ago everything was running fine and all my mods were playing nice (well except for some outdoor lighting inconsistency, but i considered that minor) the trouble aroused when i tried to fix the lighting issue. I had (and still have) the realistic lighting overhaul installed but for some reason when in the south of the map (riften or falkreath) the nights would be absolute pitch black while the rest of the outdoor areas had more than enough light. I tried to fix this by uninstalling and reinstalling the mod in the nexus mod manager. I started up the game to see if this had fixed my problem but as it was daytime in that save i decided to do a bit of exploring and found that when my head went underwater the entire screen was covered by a single sea-green color and that i couldn't see anything at all. I looked around for a bit to find a fix but the fixes i found all caused the water to loose the look of being underwater by either taking away the color and the blur one gets from being underwater, by just taking away the blurriness and the fog that limits underwater view ("the green water fix" mod on nexus), i then tried to download the pure waters mod as this seemed to fix the problem for some people but did absolutely nothing for me. The only page i could find that had a person who shared my wanting of the underwater effect back in its entirety was in an ancient forum and in the end they didn't even try the things suggested (which i did without success), instead he wound up uninstalling and reinstalling his game. Now i would like to avoid re-installation of skyrim as my PC takes quite a few hours to install any game of substantial size, then it would take another good few hours to reinstall all the mods (sadly i simply don't have that kind of time right now and wont for quiet a while). I did notice in my reasearch to fix this bug that this may not be a mod issue as its a bug that also occurs in the base game. So looong story shot, i have the infamous green water glitch with no idea what caused it and no idea of how to PROPERLY fix it (not just doing a half-assed "hey i can see!! Wait.. i can see absolutely everything that's underwater for miles.. welp, forget immersion" i will try nearly anything that is suggested and i will test it as soon as i can.
Okay, so I started a new Fallout 4 game a few weeks ago. Got the new mods in no problem. But the last few times I've been playing, my HP bar is showing 10 points of damage. It seems to go away when I take Buffout, and I heal up. It doesn't appear to be addiction, because I had that cleared (Used some Addictol, went to a doctor) and it's still there. The Steam community thinks it's probably a bugged mod, since I have yet to do the Vault 81 quests. I have tried recycleactor on myself, have gotten re-addicted to Buffout and went to a doctor to have it cured, nothing. Is there a console command that will remove all statuses from the character? Or is this really a mod issue? Might as well go straight to brass-tacks. Again, obvious spoiler warning, but this is to save people potential frustration in the future until Bethesda fixes these problems. There is a repeatable and well-reported crashing issue around the location known as Monsignor Plaza near C.I.T. Ruins, and most report it safe before a certain main questline story point (meeting Nick Valentine or just after). I would recommend doing early-point Railroad and Brother of Steel questlines that take place in or around the area before continuing on the main story. This has been reportedly fixed on the beta patch and is likely one of the first patched crashes we will see once it gets out of beta into live. Still, the advice is sound and either path leads you to good EXP awarding repeatables or clothing crafting (aka, letting you put in ballistics weave into normal clothes to maintain competitiveness with layered armoring setups) or at least what is currently unlocked for you to be able to do until you actually progress in the main story. The Institute/BoS repeatables can and will get bugged and clash with Minutemen settlements. For example I have a quest to clear our feral ghouls from the Institute that leads to one of my oldest settlements, and another BoS repeatable clashed with one of my newer ones, thereby making them impossible to complete and thusly stuck. My personal advice is to keep Minutemen settlement quests on the backburner, and keep it small until Castle. Also FREQUENT SAVING before getting a repeatable. During the multi-faction quest The Battle of Bunker Hill one can tattletale on the Institute-initiated quest to the Railroad and BoS, leading to a cavalcade battle over the town. Be warned that if you are friendly to all three factions, you will end up having to fight friendlies, and will remain so even when you fire upon them (except Institute). Also, townspeople in the town are their own faction, so watch your fire once you're in there, else you'll probably end up never being able to visit the town in the future as many more sidequests are tied to that location, or pass through said location. The NPC from the Institute you roll with during this mission must not die (essential, but can bug out) or dissapear else you cannot complete the underground segment.
