    Body Slide

    I recently watched Gopher's Video regarding Body Slide. I thought the video was great! However, I cannot get it to work on my computer, the image is mottled, so mottled that I cannot view what I am doing. I have a laptop with a 960M NVidea card. My OpenGL version is 4.5. The pictures in the Youtube video were so clear but mine is so bad that I cannot see what I am doing.
  3. My Survival Mode playthrough with Amber has pretty much gliched out. I had to remove Wasteland Imports AND Survival Options to make it work, and I've updated a few mods (the new VIS-G, updated Dev_UI, etc) and I was looking at restarting a survival playthrough. I would like some limited access to the console and fast travel. But I am not sure if there is a better mode than Survival Options. Therefore, I turn to the community here, is there a different mod that gives me all the stuff that Survival Options does?
  4. I know I saw it on a YouTube video, but I can't find it. There's a mod for Fallout 4 that basically makes your high defenses for settlements count, so that you don't have to go to every settlement every time they're attacked. Anyone remember this one?
  5. hey guys i'm having stutter issue with my Xbox one controller when turning my character right to left i am on PC my spec gt x 1060 GB wind force edition oc it came oc. 16 gb ram ddr3 windows pro 64. 600watt psu. tried some ini files changes didn't work driver r all updated. this happens for fallout 4 and borderlands 2 it did happen for oldrim but somehow it stop, i uninstall fallout 4 and reinstall it twice any help would be appreciated. and now i now people are gonna say play keyboard and mouse but i like playing these game a controller thanks.
  6. Have you ever wanted to be a superhero? https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/30345 I'm a huge fan of Marvel, especially their TV show Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. For the longest time I thought it would be cool to have the superhero-like powers of Skyrim's magic in the Fallout universe to be able to roleplay as my favorite superheroes. Then, with Agents' landmark 100th episode approaching, I decided to finally do something about it. I was going to make a Fallout 4 character become Quake. This mod was for me. It started out as a personal project, one that I never intended to share. It was, for me, a gargantuan undertaking, as my knowledge of Papyrus was elementary at best. However, when I finished, after I'd say close to 100 hours of work and testing, I changed my mind. I was so proud of my creation I decided to put it on the Nexus. That was in December. Then it slipped into the ether. With the 100th episode today, I'm making good on my commitment. What It Does: This mod adds all the gear you need to roleplay as Daisy Johnson, the Inhuman known as Quake: Quake Power unarmed weapon, which allows you to "quake" enemies/objects (think Fus-Roh-Dah, for the uninitiated). Functional Quake Gauntlets, which help to mitigate the strain Daisy's powers put on her body Inhuman Rebel Outfit and Cap* - Daisy's outfit from the Ghost Rider pod of Season 4. Inhuman Finesse trait and Inhuman Training perk tree - perks to help increase the efficiency of your powers, even allowing you to fine-tune the vibrations to shatter locks. An lore-friendly location to find Daisy's gear. I don't think she'd keep her Secret Warriors S.H.I.E.L.D. outfit at home where Nate could find it. The Quake Power, the bread and butter of this mod, is an unarmed weapon that allows you to use Daisy's "quake" abilities, throwing enemies in front of her back and doing slight damage. When successfully blocking melee attacks as well, she can unleash a small nova, throwing melee attackers away. However, this power comes at a cost. Every use of the ability drains your AP significantly and wears her arms out slightly. Her powers put a tremendous strain on her body, and although you can use them without enough AP, doing so will cause trauma to her health and her arms. The toll of her powers can be mitigated by wearing Quake's Gauntlets. Although these (fully moddable) pieces of arm armor offer only modest protection, they significantly cut the AP cost of using her powers (although the penalty to her health and arms still applies if the power is abused). This makes the relatively lower defense of the gauntlets pale in comparison to their utility with the power. The power was never meant to be used as a main weapon. Instead, it is a support weapon, allowing you to blast enemies onto their back (or off buildings, or into traps, or...) then follow up. However, with the right perks (Inhuman Training, Demolitions Expert), the power itself can become quite formidable.

  8. Okay, this has really bothered me for a bit, my junk tags aren't there when I hover over an item. I've followed Gopher's install instructions for Dev_UI and VIS, and they still aren't there. VIS is the last mod (Other than the VIS compatibility patches after it) so as far as I understand it, junk item tags should be there. Could it be an issue with the ICONSBLU mod (Updated icons for VIS) or some problem with the Gold PipBoy - Color Screen mod? In my last playthrough, it got annoying, but never too bad, as I pretty much grabbed everything and dragged it back to base. But here, with the low strength on this character, I really need to limit my loadout. Any ideas, folks?

  10. Hey, can you have multiple installs of Fallout 4 on one system? I want to try some of the giant conversion mods (Frost, for example) without having to remove all or many of my mods that might cause a problem with it.
  11. Hey, are there any mods that add the classic 10mm SMG to Fallout 4? I know there are mods that allow you to turn the 10 MM pistol into a rifle (I have that) and that allow you to change the ammo type for the SMG/Tommy Gun (I have that as well), but neither of those really works. Only one I can find is in Russian and really not well endorsed. (I searched 10MM SMG on Nexus under Fallout 4.)
  12. If you hadn't heard, there was an update to the Fallout 4 main file today. Also one for Skyrim Special Edition. Apparently (From a couple of YouTube videos and reading the update log) this will make it so that when the Creation Club updates, it won't change the main executable, like it was originally going to. Creation Club stuff will be in a subfolder. Now, this means that this should be the last time that a Creation club update will kill F4SE/S64SE. But for the next few days (Or however long it takes), script extenders are offline.
  13. Okay, so I started a new Fallout 4 game a few weeks ago. Got the new mods in no problem. But the last few times I've been playing, my HP bar is showing 10 points of damage. It seems to go away when I take Buffout, and I heal up. It doesn't appear to be addiction, because I had that cleared (Used some Addictol, went to a doctor) and it's still there. The Steam community thinks it's probably a bugged mod, since I have yet to do the Vault 81 quests. I have tried recycleactor on myself, have gotten re-addicted to Buffout and went to a doctor to have it cured, nothing. Is there a console command that will remove all statuses from the character? Or is this really a mod issue? To my mind it's the responsibility of the company licensing the songs (the company Bethesda bought the license from) to account for all the strange riders and conditions, not the person or company buying the license. Oh well, Bethesda / Zenimax will probably just retask a couple of the Oculus suit lawyers to cover this one... Gopher better watch out, though. Dion DiMucci is coming after him next, for using this music as the opening for his videos!
  15. So yeah, the GTA V stream I tried the other day only managed to record 5 minutes of a 2 hour play, probably because I closed the internet down, won't make that mistake again. Such a waste, I complained about all sorts of things, from griefers to steering wheels blocking the view of the speedometer and sadly you missed it all. On more positive news, I have started recording my current Fallout 4 playthrough, using Shadowplay to avoid fps loss, so it tends to cut out without warning, still its processing. Created a playlist for it, will try GTA again when I next play it. Still need to finish my house in Minionland too... Second video is still processing when I posted this btw. Going to bed now, its 4am.
  16. Strong back rank 3 lets you move at normal pace while encumbered in exchange for action points. Rank 4 in Survival Mode removes the damage penalty for being over-encumbered - no more broken legs. Rank 5 reduces the AP cost for running while encumbered by 50% Moving Target 3 also reduces the AP drain for running while encumbered by 50%

  19. Ok, so I have this little problem with the robot workbench. Special does nothing Head contains Special mods. Torso contains Head mods. Left Arm contains Torso mods. Right Arm contains Left Arm mods. Left Arm, Voice, Legs and Paint do not work at all. Can anyone help please?

  21. So I have this weird bug where the inhabitants of Abernathy Farm keep showing up at my Red Rocket settlement. First it was just random settlers, but now even the family are coming over. Now I know my Red Rocket area is quite nice and well equipped, but it is also just for me and my companions and I really don't like the intrusion into my personal private space. Can anyone help? I thought it might be related to one of my expanded settlements mods, but even with those the non-buildable area between the Rocket and the Farm is vast. As it is I can only send the intruders to another settlement, which really leaves Abernathy shorthanded.

  23. When I watch Gopher's livestreams of his "Barry" playthrough on the XBone, I'm always amused by his silly answers to the repeated question why he's playing on a console now. So, just for fun, let's come up with some more "reasons" for him to have switched: All those comments that he should play Fallout "as it was intended" worked! So now he's playing on a console, min/maxing his stats, always using VATS, and fast-travelling everywhere. New scientific research shows that the human eyeball explodes if it is exposed to 60 frames per second, so now he's safe on an XBox at 25 fps on average. Bethesda entered a deal with Microsoft to make Fallout 4 XBox-exclusive, so the latest patch turned off the PC and PS4 versions. When you try to start them, you just get an advert for the XBox. Due to an unfortunate head injury, he can no longer deal with the complexity of a keyboard or the dizzying responsiveness of mouse controls. He now requires the soothing simplicity of a controller, to avoid frustrated rage fits. Marketing research shows that people who watch PC-based Let's Plays are often PC owners themselves and capable of using ad-blockers in their browser. To maximise YouTube's his profits, he is now courting the console player demographic. Microsoft paid him to do it, and he sold out. Door-to-door XBox evangelists convinced him to convert to their religion. Phew! That's all I got. Does anybody else have some ideas? Can we get to a full 10 points?
  24. Edited again with italic explanations. Gopher's new character is: A massive fatso with 10 agility, This prompted me to say: ROFL. And 1 int, this could be fun, assuming they kept the dimwit response laughs from the earlier games. I really hope he keeps the live-streams of this going. He is essentially making a comedy character, a very sarcastic and selfish one, its very funny. He is playing on console 30fps cap and of course a controller, which he has almost no experience with. That frame-rate is really painful though, really painful. And I am starting to see the problem with the voiced protagonist now, it really does not match the character Gopher is now playing. The least they could have done is give a pitch slider so you could make the same voice gruff, whiny, etc. One thing Gopher, if you leave the rumble on and can get used to it, its often useful feedback as to whether you are being shot or not. But yeah, it is annoying sometimes. He made a comment about hammers should be usable as weapons, something which I am fairly sure I have thought myself a number of times, anyway: Oh, so need a hammers are weapons mod now. Oh god, once he gets outside (the vault) the frame rate is even worse, its making my eyes hurt and I am three meters from my screen when I watch this. Would love to see this Let's Play, but on console? Needs to be a way to make it run smoother. Hopefully that'll be one of the first mods. The cotroller hotkey system, three slots in each cardinal direction on d-pad. Yeah the new favourite system is very wonky, I much prefer the NV one, I mean this one does offer 12 slots as opposed to 7, but at least in the old system it was one button press to switch weapons, even if half the time the angled slots chose a side slot by mistake, still better than the new system. That's what the paddles (on his fancy new Elite Xbone controller) should be for, extra hotkeys. Trying to decide on whether to specialise in automatic or non-automatic weapons, bearing in mind that Gopher cannot aim to save his life with a controller. Certainly should focus on automatic weapons if you do continue this save further into the game Gopher. With spray 'n 'pray you won't have to worry about precision aiming so much, useful for when VATS isn't an option. On choosing whether to go for a comic look with vault suit under leathers on his tubby bruiser (his face is literally covered in bruises), or just leathers and well is is playing a bad guy, insomuch as this game lets you. Definitely want to be the bad guy, but I think metal armour, leather is to cool looking for Barry. Yes, Metal Hoon. Oh Just realised the perfect companion for Barry, after his comments in the museum. We weren't that bad... The British are coming back, took a while, but we are taking the country back. Framerate making him nauseous is a running commentary, quite understandably, now he mentions he feels the character is drunk. Heh, if you feel like the character is drunk, make that part of it, Barry is a boozer. Won't help the nausea though sadly. Speaking of which, when you are climbing the lava tower in Minecraft, why don't you just close your eyes to avoid getting dizzy? You should really all know what I mean here, you meet Garvey and he says, right, grab the PA and go nuts, not played the wife, but if he says the same.. well.. it really annoys me. PA needed training in every other game. God the early power armour thing still bothers me, its alright for the ex-soldier, but if you were playing the wife? Raiders wearing it is also as annoying. PA should require training, need a mod that gives you -5 or 10 dex, -5 or 10 agility and -5 charisma if you don't have the Power Armor Training perk, which comes free with the male character, but otherwise is obtained after becoming a Brotherhood Knight or else can be learned from some cool cats one might encounter, and perhaps a book in some old bunker, if you have enough int and the right perks. There is one good way to learn controller aiming, play the original Halo (remastered). Its actually very well set up for training controller noobs, plus the remastered edition runs at 60fps on XBone iirc. If you can get used to it, well, Halo is just a fantastic game, H3 isn't bad either. But for a pc efficienado like yourself, yeah it'll never be as good as KM. After 2 and a half hours and completing the rescue Garvey quest he has had enough for one night, and gets into an argument about synth rights with the chat for half an hour. Or to put it more accurately, he gets abstractly philosophical and goes on about how does anyone know that they are not the only "sentient" being in the entire world. Sapient, not sentient. Thought you knew that. A dog is sentient. The capacity to feel, perceive, or experience subjectively Which applies to synths if you are merely concerned that they are able to suffer, its an animal rights argument. Sapient, as in Homo sapien (lt. Wise Man); is the correct word to use when discussing the concept of free will, individuality, self awareness, etc. Gods dam Roddenberry to Heck for getting it wrong in a show which has shaped science-fiction concepts for the past 50 years.
  25. Hey everyone, I'm sorry if i'm posting in the wrong place. I'm looking for a way to "test" my Fallout 4 mods before uploading them to bethesda.net. I was hoping someone knew an easy way to do this, such as making the mod on the PC and then putting it on a flash drive. If anyone has or comes up with a way let me know please. I'm hoping I don't have to upload it to bethesda.net every time I test a new beta of my mod. Thanks everyone.
