  1. I was actually just thinking about this while watching the Leonard lp. I think I enjoy the fighting and looting to much to actually try it. ( You are very welcome Brinicio but I think you are giving me to much credit )

  4. Great job on this Tirius. The clues are difficult I found 7 and only understood 2 clues But for me the prize is the exploration so I am unconcerned. It took me months to find all the cheeses and I am sure it will take me months to find the last 3 parrots.
  5. I agree. If the main character has a name and backstory of their own i.e Geralt of Rivia then the voice the developer provide is fine. If you create your own character then the voice needs to be the one in your own head. If they insist on having voiced dialogue I would prefer to at least have an option for which voice I hear.
  6. Honestly the first character will sound fine no matter how you build it. I am only thinking of replay ability. If you can create a wide variety of characters and play styles then it stands to reason people will play the game more than once. Hearing the same voice will break immersion for many of us. Of course if the game is as good as it looks it will be a minor issue. Still offering a few different sounding voices say 2 male 2 female could help a bit. Adding a few more with each dlc would greatly expand the options. Of course cost is a factor and probably the main one. How about a pitch or tone adjuster slider that might work as well. I wouldnt mind playing a squeaky voiced tough guy named Alvin ;P
  7. It looks great. Im curious to see how they handle the voiced protagonist angle. With that level of character customization you will need multiple voices to go along with it.
  8. The jungle island we flattened can be reached by taking the the west nether slipstream until it ends in sandstone columns. Then continue west till you reach the outter ring. Head south to the 6th portal it has purple concrete around it you cant miss it. We have had good success however pretty much everyone on the server needs to be at this location or in the nether/end. Even having one player else where overworld will almost guarantee no spawns. Also please do not alter the island. The wiki says grass and leaves yet all our spawns have come on the logs. Grass allows other passive mobs to spawn. Brinicio and I have claimed extra parrots for other players so feel free to ask in chat we are happy to share.
  9. yeah i looked for a little bit as well. apparently they can spawn in existing jungle biomes but its about the same chance as new horses spawning in. I think thats right at any rate I feel they are going to be pretty rare.
  10. I can not contain my excitement any longer. The long awaited update to Minionland is in the works. The mighty Rodzyn has been working on the update and even opened the test server. You can find the address in the Redmine news. Feel free to pop in and find any bugs/glitches that have been over looked. The more we find now the smoother the transition can be. I am sure an official announcement is in the works so keep an eye out. If you have been waiting for a good time to revisit your claim or start a new project your wait is almost over. The major changes will be concrete (looks great) parrots (unlikely but possible) and the new crafting book (super useful) As you can tell I am stoked. Hopefully this will bring about a spark of renewed interest in the server. It would be nice to see some of the O.G. builders come by to see the progress thats been made.

  16. Certainly this has been covered already but I am having trouble finding it. I am looking for a mod that increases the frequency and/or number of perk points to compliment Ordinator. Any help or links to the relevant thread would be appreciated.

  19. This is a long tour but it really needed to be. If you havent been to Z's place in Minionland you really need to see it for yourself. This video does a pretty good job capturing it tho. Great job Dom and thanks again for documenting this.
  20. Might I suggest you all make a fresh start? There are rumors of a little used server across the way. I think they call it Farlands This would give you all roughly equal footing as you develope your kingdoms/nation. The infrastructure there is enough to facilitate building without the massive advatages Minionland provide (i.e. massive farms) Just a thought.

  24. Ok so as you may know recently the AFK timer was turned off. This is super handy for afk farming things like iron and gunpowder. However it was brought up that it affects the mob cap having a player camping at farms. I was just wondering how the mob cap works. I know the server is set up to have 100 players online and I remember how few mobs there were in the early days. I guess I am just wondering how much having a couple players AFK affects the over all spawn rate. I like having the ability to generate resources on a longer timeline but if it is negatively affecting other players game I am willing to limit how often I use the feature.
