  1. Backseat gaming is a bit like like back seat seat driving, but luckily in gaming if the person in control gets distracted and annoyed you usually do not end up in ER or worse

  2. All things considered, I should probably stay far away from twitch should Gopher ever decide to stream Gwent. We tend to have quite different tactics, and it's happened more than once that I found myself shouting obscenities at the screen while watching a Witcher episode. XD

  4. Holy sh*tshow batman! I wasnt there, but having read through all the pages i feel i need to comment. As a youtuber/twitcher you are in the public eye and have to have a certain persona to uphold, however having said this you are a human person from up t'north and have emotions and there is nothing as frustrating as an online fps match. Trolls will be trolls and backseat gamers will always be there, so why not ignore the chat during a game, politely tell the pleds at the start of the stream that due to the nature of the game you need your concentration, get moobot to keep repeati

  7. Good idea, but sometimes the back seat gamers are fun and friendly. Most of the XCOM 2 back seat gamers were funny more than anything. Go faster! Go slower! Go left! No go right!

  8. Where did I say that people could not give constructive advice on skill combos or class strengths? Yes I expect people to not need a lesson in basic manners if they are old enough to sign in to Twitch. But what does that have to do with this conversation?

  11. I'm looking forwards to Cyberpunk 2077, what I've seen of it is looking pretty good already and with CD Projekt RED behind it I'm reasonable sure it will at the very least be a game worth playing. As far as it's release date goes, Personally I think all game devs should go on a 'We'll release it when it's finished' basis and not have to rush to meet a release date set by a publisher, it would almost certainly mean less games that need multiple patches to actually get them working properly.

  12. Deus Ex was a brilliant game, but Ion Storm / Edios [the original game devs] didn't own the genre or term "cyberpunk" in fact nobody does, that would be like bethesda going after everyone that makes a rpg with spells and swords in it.hehe not gonna happen. Based off how massively impressive The Witcher 3: has been including how much we got in the DLC expansions; it's actually now taken the top spot in my all time favourite games list. I simply think it has been the best stand alone game I've ever played. Coming from that point of view and how much I tend to enjoy what is now c

    Pcat's Retirement Post

I'm not greet with words and we haven't talked much except about fires, hot weather and maybe about baked potatoes but I think that was with someone else. Anyways will be missed as a Community Admin but not as a fellow Minion because you are staying. I don't think that sounded right so I am just going to post this random picture of this cat from WWII

  14. Not a problem. I think perhaps we use the word critisism to mean different things. I don't consider most of the back seat gaming or advice to be 'critisizing' unless it is delivered in a negative manner. ie. the intention is to put down, humiliate or provoke. It is basically critique vs. critisism. One is usually positive, the other negative. Sometimes it can be hard to tell the difference, especially on the internet, but other times it is pretty damned easy and can be spotted by the way they start the sentence

  15. It would seem Jognt did find it to be so charming which is why we have this thread. Btw @Jognt I posted a comment here yesterday meant to be more light and casual expressing my support of Gopher. It occurred to me that it was a tad dismissive of your actual point. This was not my intent I understand where your coming from and am glad you are willing to address the issue here. Communication is a key component of any community.

    Jokes (clean)

Here's a good one A woman brought a very limp duck into a veterinary surgeon. As she laid her pet on the table, the vet pulled out his stethoscope and listened to the bird's chest. After a moment or two, the vet shook his head and sadly said, "I'm sorry, your duck, Cuddles, has passed away." The distressed woman wailed, "Are you sure?" "Yes, I am sure. Your duck is dead," replied the vet.. "How can you be so sure?" she protested. "I mean you haven't done any testing on him or anything. He might just be in a coma or something." The vet rolled his eyes, turned around and

  19. That's cool, I only use it for the Art, yea that's it the Art. Now what I am saying is a personal opinion... I have played with over 160 Mods at one time, and they can certainly add to the game, but I feel there is such a thing as over doing it... So you might just want to do a few mods here and there, some armor mods and clothing and a few others but really you can go over board with mods.

  22. No I don't think they will make it like a turn based game, I am just talking about the setting, not the gameplay.. I do expect an action RPG similar to the witcher, skyrim and so on. I just wanted to you know throw some information about how to find out about the kind of world the game will be in.

  25. The cyberpunk IP is from waaay before Deux Ex to be honest, original tabletop roleplaying game based on the cyberpunk IP was cyberpunk 2013, released in 1988. So there is no way Eidos or Square Enix could do anything about this game. I suggest reading up on cyberpunk 2013, cyberpunk 2020 and cyberpunk V3 roleplaying systems if you want an idea of what we can expect in regards to setting and general feel of the world.. Obviously CD project red will take some liberties, but it should give a decent impression of the cyberpunk setting. Rock on fellow rockerboys! Just dropping dis here to

  26. I hope you realize it takes skill and strength to know what you can and cannot do. You may not have the fastest reflexes or twitch aim, but you do know where you need to be and what needs to be done. You're actually one of the OW playing minions who I trust to do the right thing when left to their own devices. Watch that video I linked in my previous comment, about 20 minutes in he talks about how there's actually a term for people that are so bad they don't know they are bad. Deducing from this: you are actually pretty good :p.

  28. Maybe this time I'll just phone it in and watch the inevitable Gopher lets play rather than buying it only for it to sit on my HD. I like CD Projekt and I'd like to support them, but their games just don't seem to be for me. More power to em though, hope the game's a success like the Witchers.

  30. This is why I stopped watching streams almost completely; I'm not blaming anyone for the situation though, but there was quite a different vibe on the lava tower stream, one that I really enjoyed being part of. They were fun, and I think that's probably important.

  32. That is absolutely the way to go. It's harder than it sounds, but it really is the only way to stay sane I think. It should be easy because the comments are overwhelmingly positive, but for some reason, the negative ones have more of an effect. It's actually a valuable lesson for life in general. Focus on the good. Easy to say, difficult to do, but then you know my attitude towards a difficult fight that keeps beating me down

  34. ok So I want to say a few things here. Gopher, it's your stream, play as you feel and for the backseat gamer's that are "just trying to help or suggest something" piss off. He's playing the PvP, have you ever had someone sit there and tell you how to play or tell you your not playing right and you should do it this way or that way... that is freaking annoying, even if they have the best intentions. If you just have to correct him or tell him how he should play or what's the best way to doing something, open a topic and post in forums. Just my thoughts.

  37. That is NOT criticism in my opinion. Advice about skill combos and class strengths is not a problem. Nobody got timed out for suggesting a class or skill combo. Only one person got timed out and that was for constantly going out of his way to put me (and my team down) and trying to make himself look superior. I admit I probably should have ignored him, and I will also admit that I may have even misjudged him and it is a 'wall of text' out of context problem. But I felt the guy was quite deliberately trying to push my buttons and was distracted and frustrated enough to let him. The i

  39. Yeah missing the context for a comment is a major risk in stream chat, and you have to add that to the added problem of 'tone' not always coming through in text messages. Add to this the tension/passion of a competitive situation and it can make a throw away jest sound like a patronizing jab. Now that is just one of the things I have to deal with as a 'streamer' or 'youtuber', and I will try to deal with it better in future. But I know my limitations, and I know I won't manage it in PvP scenarios.
